This article is part 3 of 5 in a short series, which has been put together to show you how build massive amounts of leverage into your Network Marketing campaign, regardless of whether you are building your Network Marketing business Online, or using traditional techniques. As any successful Entrepreneur will tell you, the key to achieving financial freedom in any business is by leveraging your personal time and efforts, putting systems or people to work for you.
In this third article you will learn how to develop and implement a powerful system to build your Network Marketing business offline. Although there is a lot of hype on the Internet today about building your Network Marketing business on the Internet, there is still huge potential for building offline too. Network Marketing guru, 'Big Al' Schreider once said: "When everyone else is zigging, you should be zagging!"
So, if you have chosen to build Online then why should you be interested in developing an offline system in the first place? The answer is to give yourself and all of your downline distributors more options and alternatives for building their own business. Your preference might be Online marketing, whereas your business partners may prefer face-to-face marketing. If you only have systems and training to support Online methods then you will isolate a huge proportion of your team and your prospects. Remember, your goal is to have people working for you and this will only happen if you are willing to train and support those people.
Hopefully your personal sponsor will have a suitable offline system in place that will work for you and your team. But if not, what should your prospecting system actually start with? Should you lead with your products, or your opportunity?
My advice is to lead with neither of these! My recommendation is actually to lead with the industry, not the products, or your opportunity! Why? Well, if every person you speak to gains an understanding of how customers and distributors can both benefit from Network Marketing, then you are far more likely to get them as a customer or business partner. If they choose not to join you then they will still have a more positive view of the industry, which will increase your chances of getting referrals from them, or sponsoring them at a later date.
By leading with the industry you can also educate people about Network Marketing before you even consider them for your opportunity. At this point you are simply sharing information about the industry to see if they are a fit for your business and your team. You will experience a lot less resistance and you can maintain your posture as you are actually assessing their suitability rather than pitching an opportunity.
If an individual does not respond well to the industry then don't waste your time talking to them about your business. Explain to them that your business might not be right for them and move on! However, if they are receptive to the industry, you can ask them if they would like to learn more about the Network Marketing business that you are working on.
This subtle change in your approach can have a massive impact on the amount of time you waste talking to uninterested prospects, enabling you to focus your time and energy on prospects who are serious about building an income with a Network Marketing company. Everyone you speak to will want an extra stream of income, but not everyone will be willing to commit time and effort to building a Network Marketing business, so keep this in mind whilst prospecting to avoid the time wasters and maximise your conversion rates!
In part 4 you will learn how to adapt your approach for an Online marketing campaign. The principles remain the same, but the process requires subtle modification for the best results.
